yeah, I went on an adventure. it was three years ago, mind you, and this is really just my interpretation of my playthrough of LeafGreen. and if you've got a problem with how awesome I am, Victoria, then just suck it up and keep watching.
"I'm heading out, Will! don't wait up for me!" I said.
"you better be back to check in once in a while, sis. and two things: one, STOP calling me Will; and two, where's my 3DS, you little klepto?!" said my brother.
my name's Taylor, by the way. it's a pleasure to be writing this journal/doccumentary of my adventure, I suppose. my brother and I recently moved back down to Pallet town from the Neo region (God knows why), and to comemorate my tenth birthday (yes, I'm a bit young to have the experience and intelligence I do, but that's not important), I'm heading out on my own adventure to take on the Kanto league~
though of course, I had my own way of doing it...
"dunno, maybe it's under your bed." I said, walking past William and outside.
as I shut the door, I heard William cursing me under his breath.
I ran down the street, mimicking the form of a human. as I ran into the pokemon lab to talk to professor Oak, I noticed Victoria and professor Kerri, our neighbors. Victoria is a lowly intern at the lab, while her mom (the professor) is a utopian scientist with a master's in English.
"oh, Hi Taylor!" Kerri said, happy as usual. "I was just talking to Victoria about a modification I gave her for the pokedex Professor Oak was to give her today; perhaps you were here for the same reason?"
"who told you?" I asked.
"Victoria. Your brother had told her yesterday."
"oh. well, if Professor Oak's not here, I suppose I'll just-"
"WAIT!" came a shout. moments later, Professor Oak came rushing into the lab, slipping a phone into his pocket.
"Ah, Professor Oak! you made it!" said Victoria's mom.
"Please, Kerri, call me Samuel! I may be older than you, but that doesn't mean you have to adress me so formally!" he said cheerfully. I hate cheerful people.
Victoria turned to the professor as "Kerri" left. "so, about the pokedex?"
"well, first, I have a favor to ask. up in Viridian City, I have a package waiting for me, but I'm in no condition to go running up there... perhaps you could go get it for me?" Professor Oak asked.
"sure!" Victoria said. then she turned to me...
"why don't we have a little contest, Taylor? whichever one of us can win against the other in a battle will be the one to get the package!"
"umm... that doesn't seem very fair..." I said.
"I think it's a great idea!" said the professor. "whichever of you wins and brings me the package will get a reward from me!"
"well... okay then. it is money we're talking about, right?"
"oh, of course. but don't go to hard against eachother, now!"
Victoria stepped to one side of the room, and brushed the hair out of her face as she transformed into her Bulbasaur form. I took on my Squirtle form, and the battle was on.
"ah, I forget, you two are both pokemorphs. just remember, when the other hits the floor is when you win; it's not like some deathmatch!" the Professor said from the sideline.
Victoria and I had lately lost our edge in battle, so as the professor watched, we butted heads in a "clash of the starters" (basically, tackling eachother). I swear, I heard one of the researchers whisper "ooh, catfight~"...
after a minute, I managed to knock Victoria to the floor. she sat up, clutching her head.
"Wait, stop! I'm beat, you win, et cetera..." Victoria said, followed by her muttering "oww, my head..."
"good, good!" the Professor said, then turned to Victoria. "are you ok, Victoria?"
"yeah, I'm fine. just have a back-and-headache..."
"right. then I'll be going." I said, turning to leave. all the niceties from those two was starting to bother me.
"good luck then, Taylor! just remember, they're holding the package at the pokémart in Viridian City." the Professor said. I rolled my eyes as the door shut behind me.
okay, so this may seem like a bit of a strange start to my adventure, but that's Oak and Victoria for ya. either way, from there I headed up to Viridian City; though I was running an errand for an old man now, I was on the way up to begin an adventure of rivalry, friendship, partnership with my brother and his friends, and above all, bringing down what I would find out to be my reason for returning to Kanto.
Oh, and real quick before I go, HUNTER! COLE (John's Team Pyro)! you two better get down here to Element studios with me RIGHT NOW, 'cause you two are gonna be part of this thing!
